Fettuccine Alfredo
Description:
A home made pasta classic that any student on a budget can make and enjoy. Takes very
little time to prepare and almost no time to devour. Additionally, this classic does
not require a chief's kitchen to make and all ingrediants can be picked up in a Walmart run.
Ingrediants:
- 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- 8 ounces mushrooms
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 & 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Cooking Instructions:
- Prep phase:
- Dice chicken breasts into chunks.
- Slice mushrooms.
- Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boiling temperture.
- Place pasta into boiling pot. (Let sit for 8 to 10 minutes or until soft)
- Meanwhile, heat the butter in a large skillet.
- Cook chicken and mushrooms into buttered skillet until FULLY cooked.
- Season with garlic salt and pepper.
- Add alfredo cream to chicken and mushrooms until thick, stir constantly.
- Add parmesan cheese at a desired consistency.
- Add sauce, chicken, and mushrooms to the noodles, then serve.
